I rejoined Facebook back in February 2020. For the three people that don’t know what Facebook is, it is the most popular of social networks. It is free to join, and there are no premium subscriptions, nor features.
I would have to say that I’m not really impressed with Facebook. About the only thing that it has going for it is the popularity. There were times where Facebook would not let me connect for a couple of days at a time. This reduces the reliability and desire to rely on it, or use it.
This in turn means that I would likely not want to use it as my primary means of communication – instead relying on more traditional means of communications. My Facebook address will still remain on my contact directory, however – I would only check on it a couple of times a day. This will mean that people wishing to get a hold of me will be better to use SMS. As for the number of “friends”, I keep it only to people I know. I had a couple of people that I didn’t know request connections in which case, they were simply not accepted.
